My  journey to becoming a Physiotherapist was not straight-forward: 

I first obtained a degree in B.Comm Marketing Management at the University of Pretoria, but after years of working with people in different business settings realised that “something was just missing” in my life. 

Becoming a Physiotherapist was not a career change, but a calling. I have always felt drawn to the idea of helping people, and this was my chance, finally finding the path that would lead me to where I am today!   

I was able to follow my dream and qualified Cum Laude through the University of the Witwatersrand in 2013.  My determination and desire to help others saw me graduate as the top academic student of that year.

I completed my community service year at Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg, where I had the privilege to work in the outpatient Pain Management department for several months, forming part of a multi-disciplinary team in the management of chronic pain patients. This sparked my interest and devotion to the treatment of complex and persistent pain conditions.  

In 2015, I joined a Physiotherapy Pain Management Practice in Johannesburg, and in 2016 became a partner, where I  gained extensive knowledge and experience in managing chronic and complex pain conditions, such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), peripheral neuropathic conditions, auto immune and inflammatory pain conditions, etc.
